By launching two cutting-edge AI-powered security cameras powered by artificial intelligence (AI), Eufy has lately broadened its line of security products. Eufy Security now includes the recently introduced EufyCam E40 and SoloCam E42, expanding its local storage choices.

Introduced Eufy’s MaxColor Vision, the EufyCam E40 claims AI-enhanced color night vision that greatly improves the video quality recorded in very low-light surroundings at 2K resolution. Having personally tested the EufyCam S1 Pro, first to incorporate MaxColor Vision technology, it is noted that the camera has an extraordinary capacity to generate full-color video in absolute darkness.

Better clarity provided by the improved color night vision helps to guarantee accurate human detection, especially, therefore lowering false alerts. For local storage, the EufyCam E40 is intended to work with both the HomeBase S380 and the older HomeBase 2, thereby helping consumers to escape repeated cloud storage costs.

Eufy says the E40 is the first dual USB-C equipped battery-operated AI-powered security camera. These ports let a LongRange Module and a solar panel connect concurrently. Making it a great option for large estates, the module enables high-speed video transmission over great distances, 500 to 1,000 meters.

The EufyCam E40 is a battery-operated AI-powered security camera fit for both indoor and outdoor use, but it has a 0.75W solar panel on its top. Placed in direct sunshine, this solar panel offers the E40 almost year-round power, therefore removing the necessity of regular charging.

The SoloCam E42 AI-powered security camera has 4K resolution, an integrated spotlight, and pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capabilities, allowing it to cover a full 360 degrees horizontally. It comes with a detachable solar panel separate from the camera itself for continuous power, which assures the solar panel is oriented toward the sun.

Currently available for $280 is the two-camera bundle of the EufyCam E40 with the HomeBase 2. Alternatively, you can purchase a separate Eufy solar panel for more energy gathering.
