Google AI Plus: Google Expands Budget AI Power to 40 More Countries

Google AI Plus plan to 40 more countries

By launching Google AI Plus subscription service to 40 more countries, with an emphasis on areas usually ignored by massive tech rollouts, it makes premium artificial intelligence solutions more accessible. Sitting between Google’s free AI services and its costly Pro and Ultra subscriptions is the AI Plus plan.

Access to the company’s Gemini 2.5 Pro model, improved artificial intelligence integration across Gmail, Docs, and Sheets, and creative uses for photo and video are provided generational types like Flow, Whisk, and Veo 3 Fast. 200 GB of cloud storage distributed over Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos also distinguishes the plan as more than an artificial intelligence portal. But Google is providing promotional pricing, including a 50% discount for the first six months in certain countries like Nepal and Mexico, to promote the adoption of a bundled productivity package.

Google AI Plus

Google AI Plus expands to 40 more countries including Mexico, Egypt, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Kenya, and Nigeria, among other nations spanning Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The Google AI Plus is not available in the United States; this highlights the focus of the company on areas where cheaper solutions could drive consumption.

Although the growth creates possibilities for millions of new customers, the pricing is still subjective as $5 monthly fee may still be unaffordable for poorer families. Moreover, the specifics on use limits are still unclear, such as how many prompts, videos or pictures the users can create. Google’s actions bring it closer to its rivals like OpenAI, which already had a cheaper subscription plan for users.

The drive to control developing markets could define how fast artificial intelligence technologies become ubiquitous outside more affluent countries. Google is wagering that accessible pricing and packaged solutions will speed the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) for daily activities in new areas, including writing emails, generating multimedia material, or store memories from past conversations (Gemini’s new memory feature).
