Pixel 10 Pro Price Leak Unveils Google’s Big Bet

Many of the most urgent questions center on the pricing of these new devices as Google prepares to reveal the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro in late August. It begs the question of how competitive Google’s Pixel 10 Pro pricing will be and what repercussions this has for its general strategy, as flagship smartphones from companies such as Apple and Samsung are routinely pushing their base models into the four-figure bracket.

The four main models have European pricing that precisely matches the Pixel 9 series’ pricing. For 128 GB, the Pixel 10 starts at €899; the Pixel 10 Pro price starts at €1,099 for the same capacity. Beginning at €1,299 for 256 GB, the Pixel 10 Pro XL removes the 128 GB option. Finally, starting at €1,899 for 256 GB will be the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Remarkably, neither the Pro XL nor the Pro Fold, at the top of the lineup, include 128 GB variations. This does not always mean the absence of the 128 GB choice; it’s conceivable that these will be sold just via the Google Store, limited by region, or as network-specific goods. Clarity will arrive at the Made By Google launch event scheduled for August 20.

Keeping 2024’s pricing throughout the lineup, Google offers a perspective into the general approach it uses to serve both customers and its Android Partners. Google’s confidence in the market is shown by its consistent pricing approach, which mirrors the incremental improvements to the physical design of the Pixel 10 series relative to the Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 Pro price difference.

Although new features may be added in the hardware and software of the Pixel series, the basic value proposition is still unchanged; hence, the Pixel 10 Pro pricing also stays constant. Ben Schoon of 9to5Google stresses the little benefits the Pixel 10 series is generally picking up. Some major improvements included: these enhancements will together help to produce what will still be considered an evolutionary upgrade in hardware.
