Kraken Acquires Capitalise.ai to Democratize Algorithmic Trading

Kraken acquires Capitalise ai

Simplification of sophisticated trading has seen significant progress by Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange. On August 20, 2025, Kraken acquired Capitalise.ai, an Israeli firm noted for its no-code, natural-language trading automation platform.

Capitalise.ai, which started in 2015, allows users to express trading strategies in plain English, such as Sell Bitcoin if RSI rises above 70 for three days, and smoothly transforms them into executable bots. Using real-time and historical data, the platform provides considerable support for several asset classes including equities, cryptocurrencies, foreign exchange, futures, and options.

Kraken admitted that Capitalise.ai’s co-founders, Amir Shiovich (CEO) and Shahar Rabin (CPO), along with Key engineers will be joining Kraken’s Pro business unit to help to integrate and advance the technology. Before the end of the year, Kraken hopes to phase incorporate these no-code, AI-driven solutions into its Kraken Pro platform with the aim of increasing accessibility to strategic design, backtesting, and automation, therefore eliminating the need for consumers to create any code.

According to Kraken Head of Exchange Shannon Kurtas, the Kraken-Capitalise.ai acquisition gives Kraken Pro customers a strong new means to act on ideas in actual time, testing, adjusting, and implementing unique techniques with unmatched speed and confidence. Industry experts see Kraken acquiring Capitalise.ai as a strategic differentiation in the growing AI rivalry among cryptocurrency exchanges. Kraken’s direct acquisition enables it to retain control over the whole technology stack, unlike competitors who are choosing partnerships or shallow AI integrations, a daring change in course.

The easy-to-use nature of no-code automation could revolutionise retail trading. Kraken might enable individual as well as institutional investors to use complex tactics such as Mental Health Safeguards throughout traditional asset classes and cryptocurrencies by removing technical barriers. Still the seamless execution as well as thoughtful implementation will be essential to avoid overwhelming the users with the complexity or by exposing them to the risks.
