Samsung’s new foldable products already have a great impact, not just for their distinctive fresh designs but also because of them. The maker of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, its thinnest foldable to date, has reached more preorders than any previous Z Fold model in US history, a newsroom update on Thursday said. Sales have also been said to be rising by carriers. Samsung reported an almost 60% rise in total pre-orders for both devices from those of last year.
With their small, lightweight, and compact designs and camera improvements, in-store consumers are impatient to get their hands on the gadgets; this is one of the main reasons driving demand. Furthermore pointed out a more than 25% growth in overall pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Z Flip 7 over those of the previous models. According to a CNET study done in June, 30% of those upgrading their phones view the camera as a main priority. Boasting an incredible 200-megapixel main camera, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 can generate photos comparable to those from the top-end Galaxy S25 Ultra. This is a great accomplishment for Samsung as well as for foldable and slim phones in general, because hardware limits sometimes compromise camera quality.

Samsung, though, has gotten around this problem by developing smaller, more sophisticated parts for both the Galaxy S25 Edge, its sleek predecessor launched in May, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Unsurprisingly, the price is another important consideration in buying a new phone, according to a NET study.
Though it has clearly not stopped the phone from reaching fresh early sales highs, the $2,000 price tag on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is $100 more than last year’s model, might discourage many buyers. Samsung has also introduced the slightly more economical Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 FE this year, costing $900. The Z Flip 7 is also $1,100.
