According to the new rules, users of the social media platform, Instagram, must have a public account with at least 1,000 followers in order to use the Instagram Live feature on the platform. Instagram formerly allowed any user to broadcast live regardless of their follower number or whether their account was configured to be public or private.
For little creators on the site who don’t reach the 1,000 followers level, as well as for everyday users who love going live with friends for amusement, this new requirement poses a major difficulty. A fresh notice will show for those users without public profiles and fewer than 1,000 followers when they try to use Instagram live, stating that their Instagram account is no longer qualified for this feature.
